Quick answer

What does mulch installation include?

We deliver hardwood or pine-straw mulch and install it, edge the beds, pull obvious weeds, spread the material 2–3 inches deep, and finish the edges clean. Delivery-only is available if you'd rather spread it yourself, but most customers book the full delivery-and-install so the yard is finished the same day.

Two materials

Hardwood mulch or pine straw.

We carry both and tell you what fits each bed on the in-person quote.

Hardwood mulch.

Longer-lasting, holds moisture, and gives beds a clean, finished look. The usual choice for front-yard beds and around trees, where you want the color and the body to last the season.

Pine straw.

Lighter and cheaper to refresh, knits together on slopes so it doesn't wash out, and suits natural and wooded settings. Easy to top up each season for a consistent, tidy look.

Pricing

We measure the beds, then quote.

Mulch pricing depends on bed size, material, and prep. We come out for a free in-person quote, no obligation, measure the beds, and tell you the number before any work starts.

FAQ

Mulch installation questions.

Do you deliver mulch, install it, or both?
Both. We deliver the material and install it, bed prep, even spread, clean edges, so you're not left with a pile on the driveway. Delivery-only is available if you'd rather spread it yourself, but most customers book the full delivery-and-install.
Hardwood mulch or pine straw, which should I pick?
Hardwood mulch lasts longer (a full season-plus), holds moisture well, and gives beds a clean, finished look, the usual choice for front-yard beds and around trees. Pine straw is lighter, cheaper to refresh, knits together on slopes so it doesn't wash, and suits natural and wooded settings. We'll walk the property and tell you what fits each bed.
How much mulch will my beds need?
It depends on square footage and how deep the existing mulch is. A standard refresh runs about 2–3 inches deep. We measure the beds on the in-person quote and tell you the volume and the price, no guessing from photos.
How much does mulch installation cost?
Every job is different, it depends on bed size, material, and how much prep the beds need. Quotes are free, in person, no obligation. We come out, look at the beds, and give you the price on the spot.
Do you prep the beds before mulching?
Yes. We edge the beds, pull obvious weeds, and rake out the old material where needed so the fresh mulch sits clean. A proper edge is what makes a fresh mulch job actually look finished instead of just dumped.
Can you mulch after a stump grind or planting job?
Yes, and it's a common bundle. We grind the stump or set the plants, then mulch the beds in the same visit. Bundling saves you a second trip fee and ties the whole yard together in one finished pass.
What time of year is best for mulch?
Spring is the busiest, fresh mulch before the growing season, but mulch helps year-round: it holds moisture in summer heat and insulates roots through winter. Fall refreshes are a great, less-crowded time to book.

Beds looking tired?
